Newborn Sleep Shaping
Setting the foundation for healthy sleep habits right from the start
“I support exhausted newborn moms set the foundation to healthy sleep habits right from the start”
Let me guide you on how to:
Support your newborn in setting a natural baby-led schedule
Set the foundation for healthy sleep habits by doing less, not more
You did all the research to prepare for your newborn but it wasn’t like what you had expected - the lack of sleep is next level and you’re exhausted
You feel like all you do right now is feed your baby, change diapers, yawn and wasn’t expecting motherhood to feel this way
You have toughed it out on your own, trying to figure out newborn sleep but it’s just not getting easier
You’re ready to get out of the house but can’t imagine that even being possible right now with your schedule being all over the place and feeling so tired
I’m here to tell you that just because you’re a mom now, doesn’t mean you aren’t supposed to sleep again - despite everyone telling you that
You knew how to avoid the “witching” hour, avoid the extreme crying so that you no longer feel overwhelmed, dysregulated and anxious about what bedtime will look like
You could speak to a trusted professional who knew exactly what would guide you through multiple night wakings
You could put your newborn down to sleep with only using a few items that are actually effective
Putting your newborn down for a nap with no tears, minimal work on your part and having a refreshing shower, followed by day a hot shower
All without doing more, you’ll actually be doing less - that’s right, less work, less stress
Googling at 2a.m hoping that you can find the reason as to why your newborn screams hysterically before bedtime
Asking your friends, family, and other moms how to get your newborn to sleep longer than 1 hour at a time through the night
Buying all the sleep gimmicks that you have seen online that other moms swear made their newborn sleep 5-6 hours stretches at night
Quietly trying to set your baby down to grab a quick shower and as soon as you do they immediately wake up, even though they were soundly asleep right before
Feeding your newborn, what feels like an extra 10 times last night because they will not settle in their basinet for longer than 30-40 minutes at a time
Only feeding your newborn when they truly need to be fed and then putting them back down after and falling back asleep until their next feeding
The internet, your friends and family, or neighbour down the road will never be able to give you specific support that is tailored just for your little one’s needs.
What works for one child may not work for another. I always say to the families who I support that temperament and personality play a huge role here.
Other coaches won’t take your parenting style into factor here, I do. every. time. It is SO important to me that I offer you support that feels align with your parenting style.
I have been working in paediatrics for almost TWO decades, supporting 100’s of families over the years plus I’m a mama too and I understand what you’re going through - truly!!!!
You do NOT have to keep trying to find the answer yourself. I have the one missing piece to your puzzle and I want you to have it

We are thankful Lauren was willing to work with us at our pace and help our baby develop better sleep habits! Hi, I’m Lauren
Pediatric Consultant, mom of 3 little boys, and your go-to support when navigating the exhausting nights and stressful days without having to sacrifice the connection between you and your little one or using an approach that doesn’t feel align with your parenting style.
I know what it’s like to be where you are, absolutely exhausted, unsure of what advice to follow, and wondering if you’ll ever sleep again. Desperate to get sleep, feel like myself again and for my newborn to sleep more.
I have been a Pediatric Developmental Consultant for over 15 years and feel like I have never worked a day in my life. I say that honestly, I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with families everyday and watch them flourish.
I was drawn to becoming a Pediatric Sleep and Toileting Consultant because of my own journey into motherhood. I am not someone who does well without adequate sleep so I knew that I needed to gather as much information as possible.
I quickly became more interested when I was able to practise my new found strategies on my little ones and watched my life transform as I was able to sleep through the night sooner than I thought possible. I did newborn sleep shaping with all my boys and am forever grateful I learned about it early on.
Fast forward to today and of course, they have nights where they wake, that’s normal but no bedtime battles of sleep struggles at our house!
It’s SO possible to sleep again, being a mom doesn’t mean you don’t get your restful nights back. Let’s make this happen for you too!

How It Works
LEARN ABOUT NEWBORN SLEEP
Having a true understanding about your bay’s sleep will make all the difference when you’re trying to navigate the first 3 months of their lives. Newborn sleep is different from everyone else’s sleep so it’s important to learn the intricate details. I want you to feel prepared and confident for when you’re at home but also on-the-go.
IMPLEMENT A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
Despite what you may have heard, having a flexible with your baby does not have to be rigid. As you start to get out and about more you can still have a schedule, that is baby-led. Little one’s thrive on predictability, yes, even from a young age. This doesn’t have to feel stressful but rather will be helpful for you too.
SET-UP THE ENVIRONMENT
You may have heard that babies can sleep anywhere, this is true, but there is a reason for it. However, that does eventually shift and your newborn who slept everywhere soon won’t. Setting the environment for sleep success is key as they grow and develop.
UNDERSTAND STRONG ROUTINES
Having a strong routine will make all the difference. We aren’t just teaching our children healthy sleep habits without including all the details that surround this. Again, children thrive on routine and predictability, of course we want them to be flexible too but it’s important that they know what to expect.
TEACHING A NEW SKILL
Sleep is a SKILL, babies need us to teach them this skill and what they associate with sleeping. You will learn how to gently guide them along when learning this new skill in a non-stressful, supportive way. You will be supportive for them and I will be supportive for you. We will not let your baby cry on their own, a child doesn’t just learn how to walk, we teach them, we guide them, in a positive supportive space - this is no different.
As your coach, I will be your biggest cheerleader, I will always be there in your back pocket with you need sound advice and be your calm when you feel overwhelmed. I promise to meet you where you’re at and support you on this journey.
