Counselling from another mom who understands what you’re experiencing

I get it - being a mom comes with a whole world of different emotions (that can literally all happened within an hour), from joy and happiness to stress and overwhelm. When they say that your life will change when you have children … that feels like an understatement! Trust me, you are not alone in this journey and I am here to offer you the guidance and support that you deserve. Put yourself first!

As a mother myself and extensive experience as Pediatric Consultant for over 15 years within a hospital setting, I have spent much of my career supporting moms and their children through life’s challenges, transitions, stress, overwhelm, medically complex situations and developmental milestones. While my work had focused on helping children thrive, I was mainly supporting the mothers who were navigating it all - the ones carrying the mental load, shifting with uncertainty, and often putting their own needs last.

A Note from Lauren

It was through these experiences that my passion for counselling and supporting mothers grew. I know firsthand that motherhood can be both rewarding and overwhelming, and I believe you deserve a space where you feel understood, supported, and never alone in your journey.

My approach combines many years of professional experience, ongoing training, and lived experience to walk alongside you with compassion, understanding, and practical support.

I’m also a Certified Sleep and Potty Training Consultant as I personally understand how big these hurtles can be. Without adequate sleep, it feels nearly impossible to even navigate the day-to-day!

You deserve to carve out self-care time - this isn’t you being selfish to take the time you need to fill your cup and be the best version of yourself!

I understand the importance of finding the right support...

I’ve been where you are, sleepless nights, pure exhaustion, feeling unseen, unsupported in the way you need and just trying to manage it all. I realized that there is no badge of honour given when you struggle alone and the importance of finding the right person to walk alongside you to navigate motherhood when you need it the most.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies with a Major in Early Childhood Education and have continued to expand my expertise through specialized certifications and ongoing professional development within the Mental Health Field. As I work toward dual registration through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers equivalency process, I remain committed to staying current with evidence-based approaches, research, and best practices to provide mothers with compassionate, knowledgeable, and effective support.
